Neil Smith Human Resource Consultant Neil serves as a Senior Human Resources Consultant to RBS. In addition to his responsibilities at RBS, Neil is co-founder/managing partner of SmithOBrien, a firm specializing in strategic planning, communication, and human resources. His clients have included General Electric, Otis Elevator, Monsanto, Illinois Tool Works, TJ Maxx, Council on Economic Priorities, and a host of marine manufacturers. Neil heads SmithOBrien's auditing practice. He has extensive experience helping corporations to use core values and codes of practice as tools for organizational change, both internally and among suppliers. He was publisher of suburban weekly newspapers, and previously directed community-based advocacy organizations. Mr. Smith is also the former co-publisher and executive editor of ExecutiveCitizen, a newsletter for senior managers on corporate responsibility. Education Neil received his B.S. in Political Science from the University of Rhode Island and completed graduate course work at Harvard University. He is an adjunct faculty member at Boston College.
